BC's minimum wage will increase on September 15, 2015
On September 15, 2015, British Columbia’s minimum wage will increase 20 cents to $10.45 per hour. The minimum wage for employees who serve liquor will increase to $9.20 per hour. This will also affect live-in home support workers. Details are outlined in the Minimum Wage Factsheet issued by the Ministry of Labour.
This ends a three-year freeze on the minimum wage. Each September, minimum wage is expected to be adjusted relative to the Consumer Price Index.
